Kathmandu . The Leo District Council 525B1organized ‘The Leo Social Business Challenge 2020’ which is a wonderful platform where newcomers from any background and age group come together to see their dreams come true.
In this social business challenge, leo strive to gather innovative ideas that can address social challenges through sustainable business models.
Initially, Council open a registration form that needs to be filled out by a group of interested and dynamic people. In our enterprise, the maximum number of people in a group is only three. Registration began on May 20, 2021 and will end on June 4, 2021.
This event will take excellent information seminars, where aim to answer any questions or concerns our attendees may have. Its strive to raise awareness of our social business challenges by disseminating information as widely as possible. Information sessions mainly target people who are unfamiliar with this notion.
The information session will begin on May 25, 2021. After the registration time is up, we go to each entry and select the top 30 finalists. Our internal organizing team will make this decision. The top 30 will be chosen based on their content, the viability of their business model, the demand for such a model in society, and their application materials.
This step is also known as “Idea Selection: First Step”. This phase will begin on June 5, 2021 and end on June 6, 2021. The top 30 finalists will participate in various trainings and workshops according to their business concept.
These workshops and training programs teach them how to expand business ideas, identify new market concepts, identify financial transaction processes and how to pitch their offerings to potential investors These mentors will be based on their business idea and final model.
Mentors will act as guiding personalities and teach them the basics of the business. They will also be taught how to run a successful business. Mentors will further support their business model, so that it meets social needs and sustainable standards. The consultation will begin on June 18, 2021, and end on June 26, 2021.
The demo session will be in addition to the advisory phase until June 18, 2021, June 24, 2021. In it, the top 30 will show their business model how it works and what the benefits will be. They will also talk about their experiences and what they have learned in this program.
At the end comes the main event which will be held from June 25, 2021 to June 26, 2021. Here, the top 30 will present a presentation of their future business model. As it is an online program, all the questions and answers as well as the decision will be made online.
After analyzing their growth and the feasibility of their business model and how they present it, the judges will make a decision and a winner will be chosen.
The winning team will initially receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and investors will also have the opportunity to pitch their views. This brings us to the end of our Leo Social Business Challenge 2021.
